A campaign to honor the friends of the museum
In November 2001 the Sheriffs Museum and Educational Center opened its doors in Old Town, thanks to the generous support of the community, Honorary Deputy Sheriffs’ Association (HDSA) and other supporters. The Museum captures the history of the Sheriff’s Department which began in 1850 and provides a present-day look at the world of law enforcement through the eyes of its deputies and support staff. This 6800 square foot facility receives thousands of visitors every year, and is full of fun and educational exhibits tracing the unique history of the Department.
The Museum maintains an informational atmosphere that is attractive to visitors of all ages, with an emphasis towards creating an educational base for school-age children relating to the role of law enforcement and an awareness of the social dangers that could threaten their safety. It honors our law enforcement personnel-past, present and future!
To acknowledge our contributors and continue supporting the Museum, you can now purchase a Museum membership in the categories of Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze or Basic. This is the perfect opportunity to honor a loved one, to commemorate a special event or to give a lasting gift. Please reply using the form below, and we will contact you.
